My husband and I will usually take on renovations ourselves, but when we purchased this 1885 home we knew we were way over our heads. In addition to Dan and Alexis, Petry design and build uses only the best sub contractors and site managers for their projects. I was always able to reached them, and always put my mind at ease even when I thought it was a major issue. They are proficient, meticulous, and always calm. I would highly recommend them for any project large or small.

They were flexible with our edits and additions, but still stayed true to the timeline they set (6wks). We used Petry Design and Build for our home renovation in Brookhaven, GA. We renovated the ENTIRE outside of our home (replaced termite eaten stucco with brick and hard stucco), completely gutted our kitchen and our master bath/closet. We researched a lot of different design/build companies in the area and finally decided on Petry because their pricing was realistic, they didn’t try to talk us out of what we wanted, and they were on time and very friendly! I absolutely loved working with Alexis on the design of our home. I sent her several pictures of what I was wanting and she designed exactly what I was hoping for on the first draft! We started on construction in mid-July and the renovation was complete in mid-October, 1-2 weeks ahead of schedule! It was a huge project and we are extremely happy with the outcome! We had heard horror stories from friends that had done renovations and how they couldn’t get along with their contractor. That was NEVER the case with Dan Petry, our contractor. Dan and his crews were professional and always tried to work around our schedule. We mostly stayed on budget but we decided to splurge in a few areas with upgraded tile and appliances. This was the first renovation we had ever done, so we appreciated how Dan and Alexis were there every step of the way to keep us on track and set expectations. They were always very responsive to emails, texts and phone calls. We have already recommended Petry D & B to several friends and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a design/build firm in the Atlanta area.

We highly recommend Petry Design & Build. Dan and Alexis are an excellent design and build team. Our project was a complete main floor update and remodel. We also had our deck and screen porch rebuilt as well as a front porch update. Dan and Alexis were very knowledgeable and creative to make our requests a reality. Alexis tweaked her beautiful design to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. They were also very patient and helpful with us as so many decisions had to be made and when we wanted things changed, they made it happen to the best of their ability. Our project stayed on budget unless we made additions outside of our original plan and Dan kept us on schedule to finish on time. Although they had other projects going (some even bigger), we always felt like we were the most important job. Both Alexis and Dan responded promptly to all communication and kept us informed of our weekly sometimes daily schedule. Their site managers and all their sub contractors were courteous and did fine work especially their carpenter and site manager, Daniel. We absolutely love our “new” home. It turned out beautifully!!!!!!

We engaged Petry Design and Build for a major renovation of our home that was built in 1967. The project included relocating the kitchen and a guest bathroom, expanding the dining room, opening up multiple walls, and redesigning the master bathroom. We absolutely love the design Alexis created. They were flexible and adapted to some of the surprises that arose once the walls were down. They finished on schedule, despite some of the unforeseen structural work that arose because of the age of our home. Dan was on-site almost every day, and we were able to discuss every decision with them throughout the project. We lived in the home during the renovation and found the sub-contractors to be respectful and to attempt to keep things as clean as possible. Dan takes pride in the work and responds to our concerns quickly. We are very pleased with the transformation of our home! We would use them again.
